A contemporary outback noir film that reflects the troubled history of Australia. Detective Jay Swan, a conflicted detective with indigenous roots, is sent into the Australian outback with the task of searching for missing person. On the way to the mining town of Goldstone he is immediately arrested by local young police officer Josh for driving under the influence of alcohol. When the Swan motel room is suddenly broken into, it is clear that it is far more than just a lost person. Both policemen must overcome mutual hostility, and trust each other in order to serve justice. The film utilises the best of the Australian outback without exposing its pain and ugliness – both environmental and social.
