Young lawyer Lauren returns to Darwin with her fiancé Ned to have the wedding of her dreams. But on arrival, she finds out that her mother has disappeared. She drops everything and goes in search of her mother in
order to find her in the ten days left until the wedding. On her search, Lauren not only discovers the beauty of the farthest reaches of Australia along with its peculiar inhabitants but she also rediscovers her own Aboriginal roots. A romantic comedy not just about family connections and the clash between Aboriginal and European cultures.
