The College of Journalism and Media Studies is our new festival partner

“Write! Shoot! Take pictures! Publish!” In 2026, the College of Journalism and Media Studies (VOŠP) has become one of the partners of AUSSIE & KIWI FILM FEST. It prepares future professionals who want to become journalists, presenters, camera operators, photographers, screenwriters, radio editors, producers, marketing and PR specialists, press spokespeople, or dramaturgs. We are happy they support us and that their students also help organise our festival.

What does VOŠP offer?

Journalism in the centre of Prague!

Thanks to that, you can enjoy student life with your friends. And flexible schedules will help you build your career while studying.

Our students won’t just sit behind their desks; they can try everything under the guidance of industry professionals. That is why they’ll gain valuable experience during their studies. Stories from our ex-students show that employers are very interested in College of Journalism and Media Studies alumni. They have been for 30 years!

We are a small school where you won’t disappear in the crowd!

We’ll find everyone’s individual talent and help develop it. Come find yours!

Our students can look forward to practical knowledge and professional skills in these specialisations: Journalism and Creative Writing, TV Journalism, Radio Journalism, Marketing and Media Production.

We teach by practice!

Young creators can explore topics they are truly interested in. Part of the project-based education is the school’s TV, Televize dot, radio VYŠŠÍ HLAS, magazine Generace20 and communication agency PRO.motion. They can develop their creativity in a ProStory program for creative writing.

The skills you gain will greatly compensate for a university degree and open the door to your dream profession. Degrees are less important in the media, but if you want a bachelor’s degree, our partner universities will recognise exams from the College of Journalism and Media Studies, and you can earn the degree within a year.

VOŠP tuition is CZK 34 000 per year (two semesters). The school has its own studios, professional television equipment and contact with industry professionals. You can take advantage of that in small creative groups.

How does it work:

In the first year, you’ll try many professions and find out what your strengths are, what your talents are, and what interests you. In the second year, you’ll pick your specialisation and focus on it within your practice.
